Description
Scaevola aemula, commonly known as Fan Flower, blooms non-stop with distinctive half-flowers in blue, lavender or white atop trailing stems. Perfect for Florida’s heat, it thrives in full sun to part shade and well-drained soil. Water moderately, allowing slight dry-down between waterings, and fertilize every 2–3 weeks to promote dense growth. Pinch back leggy shoots to maintain a compact habit. Plant Scaevola in hanging baskets, window boxes or as a low groundcover spilling over rock walls and container edges for a soft, spreading effect.
