Our Story
The story of Solara is one of growth, legacy, and passion for plants.
Founded in 2002 by Lee and Candace Brewer, the nursery began as Brewer’s Nursery, a small family business built on dedication, horticultural knowledge, and community trust. For nearly two decades, the Brewers cultivated not just plants, but a loyal following of gardeners who appreciated their hands-on approach and genuine love for nature.
In 2020, Scott and Taylor Grismore carried that legacy forward, rebranding the business as Solara Garden Center—a name that reflects both Florida’s sun-filled environment and the vibrant energy that defines their approach.
Under their leadership, Solara has grown into a modern garden destination, balancing old-fashioned hospitality with an expanded inventory of region-specific plants and design-ready materials. Today, Solara continues to thrive as a hub where creativity, community, and horticultural excellence come together.
