Cuprocyparis leylandii is a go-to for rapid screening. Site in full sun with free-draining soil; irrigate deeply the first season, then water during prolonged dry spells. Shear once or twice a year to keep neat. Great along property lines, to soften fencing, or as a sound-buffering green wall.
